Dr. Mann graduated from the University of Wisconsin Medical School and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at UC Davis Medical Center. He is board certified to the highest standards by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Mann has accumulated 30 years experience in rehabilitation medicine including an ongoing private practice initially emphasizing inpatient rehabilitation, and later developing a greater focus on spinal problems. In addition, he also served as Medical Director of the inpatient rehabilitation units at American River Hospital in Carmichael and Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento.

From 2003-2009, Dr. Mann served as Clinical Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for the University of California Davis Medical Center. He remained an Instructor for the Family Practice Residency Programs at both Sutter Health and Mercy Healthcare Sacramento* until the end of 2011.

In the past 15 years, Dr. Mann has established a well-regarded reputation in assessing medical-legal issues, serving as an expert witness for both plaintiff and defense counsel in over 100 cases involving catastrophic injury and medical malpractice. 

In 2012, Dr. Mann received his certification as a Life Care Planner becoming one of less than 1% of all Life Care Planners who is also a licensed physician, further expanding the scope of services he is able to provide, and uniquely qualifies him to assist counsel in evaluating and developing the legal case, including the life care plan. Dr. Mann is now a featured speaker at the annual Internatinal Symposium for Life Care Planning, and lectures plantiff and defense counsel organizations when requested.
